Joomla 1.5 Critical Patch

Joomla.org has discovered a critical security issue with Joomla 1.5 and has issued a patch. Left unpatched, hackers can easily gain access to your site and run their own code.

Apply the Joomla 1.5.999 update hosted by Phil Taylor, a member of the Joomla development team during the Joomla 1.5 era. This is an unofficial project that contains community developed "hotfixes" that repair issues found after Joomla 1.5 went "end of Life" in 2012.
Apply the Remote Code Execution Patch release in December 2015.
Take an update of the site so it can be restored if the site is hacked.
