Joomla.org has discovered a critical security issue with Joomla 1.5 and has issued a patch. Left unpatched, hackers can easily gain access to your site and run their own code.
McColley Marketing Media will:
- Apply the Joomla 1.5.999 update hosted by Phil Taylor, a member of the Joomla development team during the Joomla 1.5 era. This is an unofficial project that contains community developed "hotfixes" that repair issues found after Joomla 1.5 went "end of Life" in 2012.
- Apply the Remote Code Execution Patch release in December 2015.
- Take an update of the site so it can be restored if the site is hacked.
Clicking the button below will take you to Paypal where you can purchase this service for $125 using most credit cards. You will need to provide us with both the FTP and Joomla login credentials separately so we can perform the service. The FTP login will be part of your Hosting Plan.
Disclaimer: These fixes do not completely secure Joomla 1.5, but they do fix many issues and are the best available option to continue running the software on your site. We strongly suggest you consider the only fully secure option: updating to the current Version 3 release. In addition to security, Joomla 3 brings many other benefits, including making you site "mobile ready"- something that affects your Google rankings.
